2025 was the first iteration of the GNC as an annual elite international men’s tackle football competition modelled on the structure of rugby’s Six Nations and Four Nations competition.

Organized by the participating national teams - Canada, Germany and Italy - in alignment with IFAF policies and guidelines, the GNC brought together the top active squads from North America and Europe who demonstrated the capacity to compete at the global level.

With the withdrawl of Germany's Men's Tackle program, the GNC turns its' sights on the Americas as a hosting region in December 2026 with capacity for a four-team tournament in December.
