San Salvador, El Salvador - The favoured Panama team left little doubt in their opening game of the Central American Four Nations on Thursday, with a dominant 67-0 victory over El Salvador.

Panama will be the host team of the 2026 GNC, which includes defending champions Canada, and world fourth-ranked Mexico.

The Panama senior national team took control from the outset and never let up, turning in an emphatic opening performance to advance to Sunday’s final. Panama touchdowns were scored by Manuel Gil, Ethan Lloyd (2), Ricardo Rampie (2), Francisco Saldívar, Anthony Godoy, and D’Bryan Preudhomme, while Carlos Waldron and Raúl Mata added defensive touchdowns.

Quarterback Cristian Restrepo threw for 200 yards in the win.

Panama now awaits its opponent in the championship game on Sunday, against Nicaragua.
