VANCOUVER - The Gridiron Nations Championship has made significant progress toward confirming a host location for its 2026 senior men’s international competition window.
Following discussions with participating national federations, local organizing partners, and prospective venue stakeholders, the GNC is now moving closer to finalizing a host framework that will support elite international tackle football competition in late 2026.
The 2026 event is expected to build on the momentum of the inaugural GNC season, which saw Canada, Italy, and Germany compete in the first intercontinental senior men’s tackle football series in a decade. Canada captured the 2025 championship following victories in Milan and Bochum.
“The priority has been to find a host solution that is practical, sustainable, and aligned with the long-term growth of international tackle football,” said GNC founder Jim Mullin.
“There has been strong progress in recent discussions, and we are encouraged by the level of interest and cooperation from potential partners.”
The GNC expects to provide further updates once host arrangements, participating teams, and competition details are confirmed.
The Gridiron Nations Championship is an IFAF-compliant federation-led intercontinental tackle football competition series designed to provide consistent annual competition opportunities for elite senior men’s national teams.
